Connect. Integrate. Evolve.
Trauma-focused psychotherapy and EMDR, grounded in genuine connection.
A warm, grounded space where you feel understood, supported, and guided toward meaningful change.
Hey, I’m Bec
I’m a Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years’ experience supporting adults across the lifespan. I work with people navigating a range of challenges, with a particular expertise in trauma-focused therapy and supporting women during the perinatal period and across the parenting journey.
I have completed extensive training in trauma therapies, including EMDR, and provide a safe, grounded space for reflection, healing, and meaningful change. In our work together, we can focus on practical strategies to help you manage what’s happening right now — while also gently exploring and working through the deeper patterns and experiences that continue to shape your present. This combination allows for both immediate support and more lasting, integrated change.
My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and relational. As a mother of three boys, I understand the realities of family life — the beauty, the chaos, and everything in between. I tailor evidence-based therapies to your unique needs, supporting you to reconnect with your strengths, integrate your experiences, and evolve toward a more authentic way of being.
The Meaning Behind the Name
Elka, often translated as “fir tree,” is associated with resilience, steadiness, and growth through changing seasons. This evergreen symbolism reflects the kind of therapeutic space I aim to offer — one that remains grounded and supportive, even during life’s more challenging periods.

EMDR is a specialised, evidence-based therapy that requires advanced training and careful clinical preparation. Extended EMDR sessions are offered to support meaningful and contained trauma processing. Shorter EMDR sessions are generally less suitable for deeper processing work.
You may be eligible for Medicare rebates with a valid GP Mental Health Treatment Plan and referral. Current rebate amounts are approximately $145.25 per session with a clinical psychologist. Medicare currently provides rebates for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.
If you have reached the Medicare Safety Net threshold, your rebate amount may increase in line with Medicare’s Safety Net arrangements (up to 80% of the fee), including for extended EMDR sessions.
